Learn about the ecology of this unique area, integrate watershed ecology into your existing curriculum, develop your own field trip, and meet and collaborate with passionate colleagues.

This training is designed for middle school teachers wanting to plan exciting and authentic learning experiences centered around local watershed ecology and watershed management in the nearby Cienega Watershed, just 45 minutes south of Tucson.

Teachers will work with experienced environmental educators and BLM partners to develop the knowledge needed to integrate local watershed ecology, issues and management into their existing curriculum.

Teachers will develop the skills and knowledge to organize and complete a field trip experience for their students to Las Cienegas National Conservation Area.

The day will be a combination of classroom time and hands-on field experience in BLM’s Las Cienegas National Conservation Area.

Continuing education credits provided. Snacks and refreshments provided. Bring your own lunch.

This is a free event!
