Engaging youth in leadership, stewardship, and teamwork on public lands in Southern Arizona.
The YES! (Youth Engaged Stewardship) program takes place over ten sessions during the months of June and July. Up to 12 youth ages 14 to 19 are selected from applications submitted by early May (May 14 for 2017 summer sessions).
YES! Program Goals
The goals of the Youth Engaged Stewardship program are to:
- Connect youth to public lands
- Provide a pathway for developing life-long appreciation for and careers in natural resources
- Develop youth leadership skills.
We support youth as decision makers on public land.
